Mariazellerbahn Strecke \u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Mostviertel\/Ötscherland NÖ\/Stmk \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Diese, im landschaftlich äusserst interessanten, Ötscherland angesiedelte Strecke (hier wird nur von der langen Variante gesprochen) kann man beruhigt als „Schaf im Wolfspelz“ bezeichnen. Das Höhenprofil sieht ziemlich harmlos aus, tatsächlich aber geht’s schon recht ordentlich zur Sache. Die Streckenführung entlang der legendären Mariazellerbahn ist recht ausgewogen, knackige Anstiege zumeist auf Forstwegen werden immer wieder von schnellen Abfahrten abgelöst. Mit den zwei Hauptanstiegen durchaus zu Recht als „Power Strecke“ bezeichnet. Der Asphaltanteil scheint hoch, ist aber zu verschmerzen und kommt erst im letzen Drittel der Strecke wirklich zum Tragen. Zurück zum Ausgangspunkt geht’s mit der Eisenbahn in knapp 20 Minuten, wofür man zuvor ein Mehrfaches benötigte… Aufgrund mangelhafter Wegkennzeichnung erhält die Strecke nur vier Sterne.<\/p>\n

Achtung, seit kurzem gibt es eine essentielle Streckenänderung<\/a> im Abschnitt zwischen Reith und Fadental!<\/p>\n
